There are three stages that perfumes go through from the moment of application to the moment they disappear for good, called top notes, middle notes and base notes.
- The top notes of the fragrance are felt shortly after application on the skin and linger for several minutes.
- The middle notes of the fragrance reveal the true spell of the fragrance, when its real personality becomes dominant.
- Base notes are the ones that last up to a few hours.
It can happen that the first reaction to contact with a fragrance after application to the skin is unpleasant, and 20 minutes later, when you encounter the fragrance again, you find that what seemed unpleasant has become downright magical.
Perfume has between 15 – 30% essential oils; Eau de Parfum (Eau de Parfum) has between 8 – 15% essential oils and Eau de Toilette (Eau de Toilette) has between 4 – 8% essential oils.

Perfume is applied to places where the skin is heavily vascularised, places where the skin is warmer, where the scent of perfume develops fully. The fragrance is also applied to the hair, just above the head. The fragrance is not recommended to be applied on clothes made of natural materials and furs, white clothes or garments made of thin material, especially natural silk.
